Summary |
Jack and the beanstalk: When babysitting, Costello falls asleep and dreams he is Jack of the fairy tale, Jack and the Beanstalk. Dink, played by Abbott, and Jack declare their intentions to rescue the princess and bring back the hen that lays the golden eggs. Instead, they are captured by a "man-eating" giant and threatened with great punishment until Jack effects a swashbuckling escape and, after his friends have followed, Jack the giant killer chops down the beanstalk. |

Road to Hollywood: This film is presented by Bud Pollard and features scenes from a collection of Mack Sennett shorts that Bing Crosby appeared in between 1931 and 1932. The scenes included glimpses of Crosby's comedic talents that came to the forefront when he partnered with Bob Hope during the "Road" pictures they made together in the 1940's and 1950's. Also shown are some timeless musical numbers that showcased Crosby's talent that made him one of the top radio performers during the 1930's and 1940's. |
|
The big show: A gangster tries to collect a debt and blackmails a movie studio. Gene Autry plays dual roles as an egotistical cowboy star and his good-natured stunt double. |
|
Black tights: Four dance performances performed by Roland Petit's Ballet de Paris Company are narrated by Maurice Chevalier. The four performances are "The Diamond Crusher", "Cyrano de Bergerac" "A Merry Mourning" and "Carmen". Each performance is truly unique and they feature such well known artists as Cyd Charisse, Moira Shearer and Zizi Jeanmarie. |
