Wild guitar: Bud Eagle leaves rural South Dakota on his motor scooter for Hollywood, with nothing but his guitar and his ambitions. After arriving in town, Bud meets a young beauty named Vicki who finagles him an appearance on a TV show, and the response is wild. Sneaky deal-maker Mike McCauley persuades Bud to make him his manager and proceeds to completely exploit Bud and boost his popularity, while diverting his income. |

Murder with music: A woman has many suitors, including an escaped convict, a newspaper reporter and a piano player at a local club. One of the suitors is murdered and another is accused of committing the crime due to their interest in the same woman.
