Summary |
Philip's World Factbook contains articles and maps for all the countries of the world, arranged in alphabetical order. A simple locator map shows the position of the country within its region, and the national flag is illustrated with an explanation of its origin. The smallest countries or islands, such as the islands of the Atlantic Ocean, are grouped together within their region. A few very small countries are found alongside their larger neighbors; for example, Andorra and Gibraltar are sorted with the entry for Spain. |
