Departing from this novel argument, Michael Bray traces the conceptual and socio-political history of this labor division and emphasizes how the forms of control and organization articulated by that division in practices of production, democracy, racialization, and financialization are becoming increasingly important. Critiquing the left for its tendency to side implicitly with the powers of mental labor, Michael Bray shows that comprehending and challenging those powers is a pivotal task for anti- capitalist politics today. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Division of labor.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85038613 650 0 Work|xSocial aspects.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2008113752 650 0 Work|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85148133 |xPolitical aspects.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh00005651 650 0 Philosophy, Marxist.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85100955 650 7 Division of labor.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 895801 650 7 Work|xSocial aspects.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1180224 650 7 Work.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1180188 650 7 Philosophy, Marxist.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1061048 655 4 Electronic books. 776 08 |iPrint version:|aBray, Michael.|tPowers of the Mind : Mental and Manual Labor in the Contemporary Political Crisis.|dBielefeld : Transcipt Verlag, ©2019 |z9783837641479 830 0 Edition Politik.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ no2011164740 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=2034637|zOnline eBook via EBSCO.
