Such a monitoring is carried out for the first time in the country. The book is divided in two parts. The first part consists of a comprehensive review of the literature data, the status, the numbers, the breeding and the seasonal dynamics of 149 waterbird species, which are recorded in the Bourgas Lakes during the monitoring. The information for each species is presented in text tables, graphs and maps. In the second part, a thorough look at the four Bourgas Lakes with their specific characteristics is made. The top ten most abundant species for each lake are presented. The changes in species composition and numbers are traced for different months, seasons, years and last century as a whole. The book is written by the members of the Bourgas Wetland Project, implemented for the period 1996-2004 as a part of Bulgarian-Swiss Biodiversity Conservation Programme. It will be especially useful for anyone interested in ornithology, birdwatching, nature conservation, wetland management and monitoring. 546 Summary also in Bulgarian. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Water birds|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85145533|xMonitoring|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh99005651|zBulgaria|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n81032254-781|zBurgas Region. 650 0 Water birds|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85145533|xConservation|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh99005329|zBulgaria|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n81032254-781|zBurgas Region. 650 0 Water birds|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85145533|zBulgaria|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names /n81032254-781|zBurgas Region. 650 0 Wetland ecology|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85146326|zBulgaria|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names /n81032254-781|zBurgas Region. 650 0 Wetland conservation|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85146325|zBulgaria|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n81032254-781|zBurgas Region. 650 7 Water birds.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1171557 650 7 Wetland ecology.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1174157 650 7 Wetland conservation.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1174133 651 7 Bulgaria.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1212489 651 7 Bulgaria|zBurgas Region.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1342605 655 4 Electronic books. 700 1 Dimitrov, Milko,|d1959- 710 2 Bulgarian-Swiss Biodiversity Conservation Programme. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2001093990 776 08 |iPrint version:|tWaterbirds of Bourgas wetlands.|d[Sofia] : Pensoft : Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation, 2005 |z9546422363|z9789546422361|w(OCoLC)62383502 830 0 Pensoft series faunistica ;|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/no96018228|vno. 44.|x1312-0174 830 0 Bourgas wetlands publication series ;|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/no2006087646|vno. 6. 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=217854|zOnline eBook.
