Based on a long-term anthropological study, the book emphasises four individual themes: embodied identities, the landscape as a sensuous material form that is acted upon and in turn acts on people, the landscape as contested, and its relation to emotion. The landscape is discussed in relation to these themes as both 'taskscape' and 'leisurescape', and from the perspective of different user groups. The book makes an innovative contribution to landscape studies and will appeal to all those interested in nature conservation, historic preservation, the politics of nature, the politics of identity, and an anthropology of Britain. 590 JSTOR|bBooks at JSTOR Open Access 650 0 Landscape archaeology.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh94001190 650 0 Landscapes|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85074392|zEngland|zWest Country.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85146167-781 650 0 Landscape protection|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85074474|zEngland|zWest Country.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85146167-781 650 0 Outdoor recreation|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85096148|zEngland|zWest Country.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85146167-781 650 7 Landscape archaeology.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast /991791 650 7 Landscapes.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1735625 650 7 Landscape protection.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 992049 650 7 Outdoor recreation.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1049159 651 7 England|zWest Country.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast /1243257 655 4 Electronic books. 700 1 Cameron-Daum, Kate. 776 08 |iPrint version:|aTilley, Christopher.|tAnthropology of Landscape : The Extraordinary in the Ordinary.|dLondon : UCL Press, ©2017|z9781911307440 856 40 |uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt1mtz542 |zOnline eBook.
