Note The 1st work includes portions of Act 3 which were cut from the original production: the opening scene and a duet, Lonely boy.
Both works reconstructed and edited by Erich Kunzel from Gershwin's mss. in the Library of Congress; orchestration of Lonely boy by Steven Reineke. Blue Monday orchestrated by Will Vodrey.
Libretto of the 1st work by DuBose Heyward, and lyrics by DuBose Heyward and Ira Gershwin, after Porgy by DuBose and Dorothy Heyward; libretto of the 2nd work by B.G. De Sylva, based on the folk song Frankie and Johnny.
