The book shows that, while the Dutch system represents a case of institutional and social resistance to welfare restructuring, the Italian system has shifted to a mixed family- and market-based model. It is argued that these trajectories need to be understood from a micro-to-macro perspective, considering the choices and strategies of the actors as influenced by the institutional framework, but also as possible forces of social change. --Book Jacket. 588 0 Print version record. 590 JSTOR|bBooks at JSTOR Open Access 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Older people|xCare|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85002090|zItaly.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n79021783-781 650 0 Older people|xCare|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85002090|zNetherlands.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n78085423-781 650 0 Older people|xHousing|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2004005948|zItaly.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n79021783-781 650 0 Older people|xHousing|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2004005948|zNetherlands.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n78085423-781 650 7 Older people|xCare.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1199096 650 7 Older people|xHousing.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast /1200533 651 7 Italy.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1204565 651 7 Netherlands.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1204034 655 0 Electronic books. 655 4 Electronic books. 776 08 |iPrint version:|aDa Roit, Barbara.|tStrategies of care. |dAmsterdam : Amsterdam University Press, 2010 |z9789089642240|w(OCoLC)549149903 830 0 Care & welfare.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ no2007085992 856 40 |uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt45kfbw|zOnline ebook.
