Summary Queen Clytemnestra, mother of Elektra, and her lover Aegistheus have murdered the king. Elektra wants revenge and hopes to enlist her sister Chrysothemis and her brother Orestes. But Chrysothemis renounces vengeance, and Orestes lives abroad.
