Summary |
The "Étoile" Clairemarie Osta's last appearance on the Paris Opera's stage. For the Paris Opera Ballet, "les Adieux" refers to the last show of one of its principal dancers also known as "Étoile." Leaving the ballet company is always a special moment in Paris: many people and of course every dancer want to share what is considered the most moving performance of a career. Clairemarie Osta was an Étoile of the Paris Opera Ballet from 2002 to 2012. Over the last few years, she has danced in Paris and in the most famous international venues. She is considered one of the greatest performers of the ballet company. For her farewell performance, Clairemarie danced Manon in Kenneth MacMillan's choreography, with superstar ballet dancer Nicolas Le Riche, who is also her husband. For the first time in history, a dancer of Paris Opera Ballet shares the last weeks of her career: the last rehearsals, the choice of the last dresses, the last moments until this final show. Les Adieux is more than the discovery of this very special moment for a dancer. It's also a beautiful introduction to the world of ballet and the creation of a show by the Paris Opera Ballet. |
