In particular, autologous stem cells have been instrumental to the success of gene therapy, enabling breakthrough endonuclease-boosted gene targeting for gene correction (inherited diseases) or targeted integration of therapeutic transgenes (other disorders). This timely book highlights the pioneering translation of adult pluripotent stem cells as a substitute for tissue-specific stem cells, thereby pinpointing the invaluable potential for stem cell gene therapy applications of autologous cells to contribute to all three germ players. Pathologies are discussed in terms of stem cell repopulation dynamics, with appropriate niches (long-term engraftment) and tissues (cell turnover). Focus is also placed on the increasing number of identified tissue-specific cancer stem cells as the ultimate targets for recurrence-free cancer recovery, and on the development of armed stem cells as tumor-homing vectors for targeted anticancer stem cell gene therapy. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Meteorology|xMathematical models|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85084340|xData processing|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99005487|vCongresses. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99001533 650 0 Atmospheric physics|xMathematical models|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2009116152|xData processing|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh99005487|vCongresses.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh99001533 650 0 Parallel processing (Electronic computers)|vCongresses. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2008108874 650 0 Supercomputers|vCongresses.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2008111303 650 7 Meteorology|xMathematical models|xData processing.|2fast |0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1018473 650 7 Meteorology|xMathematical models.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1018472 650 7 Atmospheric physics|xMathematical models|xData processing. |2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/820480 650 7 Atmospheric physics|xMathematical models.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/820479 650 7 Parallel processing (Electronic computers)|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1052928 650 7 Supercomputers.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1138790 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 Conference papers and proceedings.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1423772 655 7 Conference papers and proceedings.|2lcgft|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/genreForms/gf2014026068 700 1 Mozdzynski, George.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ no2006029668 710 2 European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts.|0https ://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n81101513 776 08 |iPrint version:|aECMWF Workshop on the Use of High Performance Computing in Meteorology (12th : 2006 : Reading, Great Britain).|tUse of high performance computing in meteorology.|dSingapore ; Hackensack, NJ : World Scientific, ©2007|z9789812775887|z9812775889|w(DLC) 2008295940|w(OCoLC)182736257 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=235978|zOnline eBook.
