This Regulation has to be applied since the end of 2009. It has moderately reformed and replaced the former Rome Convention which had already proven its practical value for over two decades as many national decisions and also judgments of the European Court of Justice evidence. It is therefore high time for a truly pan-European Commentary on the Rome I Regulation which takes account of the European nature of this instrument. This is reflected by the team of contributors that originates from all over Europe assembling first experts in their countries. The editors are Ulrich Magnus and Peter Mankowski who have already edited the well- received pan-European Commentaries on the Brussels I Regulation and the Brussels IIbis Regulation. The Commentary (in English) provides a thorough article-by- article analysis which intensely uses the rich case law and doctrine and suggests clear and practical solutions for disputed issues. It gives a comprehensive and actual account of the present state of the European international contract law. For international lawyers, practitioners as well as academics, it is an indispensable must. 546 In English. 588 0 Online resource; title from PDF title page (publisher's Web site, viewed Feb. 24, 2017). 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 610 20 European Parliament.|tRegulation (EC) No 593/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 June 2008 on the law applicable to contractual obligations (Rome I) |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2009020117 610 27 European Parliament.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 531111 630 7 Regulation (EC : European Parliament)|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1790973 630 07 Regulation (EC : European Parliament)|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1790973 650 0 Conflict of laws|xContracts|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85030982|zEuropean Union countries. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh94003571-781 650 0 Contracts|zEuropean Union countries.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2009120008 650 0 Conflict of laws|zEuropean Union countries.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2009120009 650 7 Conflict of laws|xContracts.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/874870 650 7 Contracts.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/876969 650 7 Conflict of laws.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 874831 651 7 European Union countries.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1269470 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 Law commentaries.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1774248 655 7 Law commentaries.|2lcgft|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ genreForms/gf2011026150 700 1 Alfonso-Luis, Calvo Caravaca. 700 1 Bonomi, Andrea. 700 1 Carrascosa González, Javier.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n93101750 700 1 Fentiman, Richard G. 700 1 Ferrari, Franco.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n81072834 700 1 Franzina, Pietro.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ no2013039565 700 1 Garcimartín Alférez, Francisco. 700 1 Heiss, Helmut.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n91032493 700 1 Magnu. 700 1 Magnus, Ulrich. 700 1 Mankowski, Peter.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ nr97015376 700 1 Rocha de Lima Pinheiro, Luís Pietro. 776 08 |iPrint version:|z9783504080068 830 0 European commentaries on private international law ; |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2008009340|vv. 2. |x1864-0265 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=1985367|zOnline eBook via EBSCO.
