Summary |
Poet May Sarton talks about the motif of flux and the experience of loss and spiritual rebirth in her work. She also talks about her own aging as an influential factor in her physical and creative life. Interspersed with her own comments and those of the filmmaker Stephen Robitaille are scenes of the poet giving a reading in Gainesville, Florida. Poems she reads include Gestalt at sixty, On being given time, A celebration for George Sarton, The silence now, The House of gathering, and The Phoenix again. |
