Summary Every step of the re-creation of Jean-Baptiste Lully's opera Thésée by the Académie Baroque Européenne d'Ambronnay, under the direction of William Christie. Back in the days, Thésée used to be the most appreciated opera by the French composer. This documentary details the creation process of Lully's tragedy, which had not been played since 1675. The auditions, the stage direction and the work on the score are part of an "extraordinary experience, similar to the creation of a contemporary work," according to William Christie. The famous musical director, star of the baroque, gives us an uncommon and generous pedagogy master class.
