I had a dream that set my heart pounding. It got so bad my chest felt as if a train were running through it. I saw myself standing in the dark beside Catskill Creek. All around me danced white shadows. They rose and fell in never-ending waves. I tried to fight them, but they laughed at me. Suddenly they all turned into moving flames. As they burned they danced faster and laughed even louder. I woke up. The sheets were wet with sweat. In my mind I still saw flames and heard the mad laughter.
