Kaye (1938-2016) became the first woman appointed to the Court of Appeals, New York's highest court. Ten years later, she became the first woman to be appointed chief judge of the court, and by the time she retired, in 2008, she was the longest-serving chief judge in the court's history. During her long career, she distinguished herself as a lawyer, jurist, reformer, mentor, and colleague, as well as a wife and mother. Bringing together Kaye's own autobiography, completed shortly before her death, as well as selected judicial opinions, articles, and speeches, 'Judith S. Kaye in Her Own Words' makes clear why she left such an enduring mark upon the court, the nation, and all who knew her. 588 0 Online resource; title from PDF title page (EBSCO, viewed June 5, 2019). 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 600 10 Kaye, Judith S.,|d1938-2016.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/no98107577 600 17 Kaye, Judith S.,|d1938-2016.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/422707 610 10 New York (State).|bCourt of Appeals|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n50003266|xHistory.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99005024 610 17 New York (State).|bCourt of Appeals.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/510646 650 0 Judges|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85070897 |zNew York (State)|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n80126293-781|vBiography.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh99001237 650 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/958235 650 7 Judges.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/984490 651 7 New York (State)|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1210280 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 Biographies.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1919896 655 7 Autobiographies.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1919894 655 7 Court decisions and opinions.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1774257 655 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1411628 655 7 Autobiographies.|2lcgft|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ genreForms/gf2014026047 655 7 Court decisions and opinions.|2lcgft|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/genreForms/gf2011026172 700 1 Greenberg, Henry M.,|d1961-|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n2018040173|eeditor. 700 1 Kaye, Luisa M.,|d1965-|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n2018040180|eeditor. 700 1 Marcus, Marilyn,|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n2018040184|eeditor. 700 1 Rosenblatt, Albert M.,|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n85049459|eeditor. 830 0 Excelsior editions.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ no2013011034 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=2153694|zOnline ebook via EBSCO.
