Summary |
The war in Iraq seen through the daily life of a group of American soldiers, in Fallujah, a place nicknamed the City of Mosques and situated near the Jordanian frontier. We go on patrol with them, we capture suspects with them, we talk with the townspeople with them, we rest with them and we are frightened with them. They are very young soldiers who have signed up because they didn't know what to do in the United States without knowing why they chose the army. And they don't understand why they are there, in this town in the middle of the desert, half in ruins, among people who hate them. Neither do we understand why they are there. A fascinating document that doesn't overstate its point: it is enough to show, to listen, and to speak in order to bluntly expose the absurdity of the situation. |
