Summary Till the clouds roll by: This Technicolor musical is loosely based upon the life of composer Jerome Kern, showing Kern's struggles to break into writing songs for Broadway, his moving to London for the sake of his work and his eventual triumph on Broadway as the composer of one of the biggest musicals ever, Show Boat.
All-American co-ed: Two colleges, all-male Quinceton University and all-female Marr Brynn University. After some Marr Brynn students gets some publicity by insulting Quinceton University, some fraternity brothers plan to get revenge. They have one of their frat brothers enroll at the all-girl school, disguised as a woman, with hopes to have him enter their annual beauty pageant. Things get complicated when our hero falls in love with the co-ed in charge of the show.
Hi de ho: Big band sensation Cab Calloway (portraying himself) becomes the interest of two womens' desires: his steady girlfriend Minnie and his manager Nettie. Jealous of Nettie's maneuvers, Minnie hires a rival clubowner to do away with Cab. Minnie later feels guilty and tries to prevent the killing. Instead she gets dusted by the thugs, leaving the door open for Cab to marry Nettie. This musical review features an all black cast.
Breakfast in Hollywood: Presents the lives of five people who visit the radio show, "Breakfast in Hollywood" and how their lives intertwine with the host, Tom Breneman.
