The Spanish crown was involved in four wars with Great Britain and two wars with France during the decades 1760-1810. Colonial Mexico financed most of these wars by remitting silver in the form of taxes and loans. The expenditures of the imperial wars were so great that they eventually caused the bankruptcy of both the Spanish American colonies and of the monarchy itself. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 648 7 18th century|2fast 648 7 1700-1799|2fast 650 0 Finance, Public|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85048270|zNew Spain|xHistory|y18th century. 650 7 History, Military.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1353231 650 7 Economic conditions.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1919582 650 7 Finance, Public.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 924477 650 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/958235 651 0 Spain|xHistory, Military|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85126142|y18th century.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2002012474 651 0 New Spain|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh88005161|xEconomic conditions|y18th century.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002011402 651 7 Spain.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1204303 651 7 New Spain.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1203034 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1411628 655 7 Military history.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1411630 776 08 |iPrint version:|aMarichal, Carlos.|tBankruptcy of empire. |dNew York : Cambridge University Press, 2007 |z9780521879644|z0521879647|w(DLC) 2007017750 |w(OCoLC)123968535 830 0 Cambridge Latin American studies ;|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n42005688|v91. 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=270962|zOnline eBook via EBSCO.
