Summary Edward T. Cone (1917-2004) is known for his penetrating prose about music, his role as a legendary music educator, and his brilliant pianism. However, less known are his over one hundred musical compositions. This CD is produced by E&FA (Ebb & Flow Arts) on our MIMM (Maui Institute for Modern Music) label. The starting point is music by a gifted, but neglected twentieth century American composer. We bring together several of E&FA performance regulars, all experts in modern music. They provide a wide-ranging aural experience, from the early 1940s Cone's "Little Preludes" to his "Duo" from 1969. - Letter from publisher.
