Summary |
This was THE most anticipated evening of this 2013 edition: a gala concert gathering the most iconic stars of the Verbier Festival! Whether they are regulars of the Festival or young artists coming there for the second time, they all have in common an extraordinary talent and unlimited admiration for what has become one of the most prestigious events on the classical music planet. Thus, Yuri Bashmet, Renaud and Gautier Capuçon, Leonidas Kavakos, Martin Fröst, Evgeny Kissin, Mischa Maisky, Menahem Pressler but also Daniil Trifonov and Yuja Wang -- among others -- pay tribute to the festival celebrating together this 20th anniversary! The highlight of the night was certainely the Chopin Preludes, performed in their original version or in transcriptions for other instruments. |
