Besides tariffs and rules of origin regulating trade in goods, many RTAs now include provisions on services, investments, technical barriers to trade and competition rules, as well as a host of issues not directly related to trade. The geographic reach of RTAs is expanding, with transcontinental agreements spreading forcefully alongside intra-regional agreements. 'Multilateralizing Regionalism' was the title of a major conference held from 10-12 September 2007 at the WTO in Geneva. Brought together in this publication, the conference papers achieve two things. First, they marshall detailed, new empirical work on the nature of the 'Spaghetti Bowl' and the problems it poses for the multilateral trade system. Second, they contribute fresh and creative thinking on how to 'tame the tangle' of regional trade agreements. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Trade blocs|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh94000049|vCongresses.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh99001533 650 0 International trade|vCongresses.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2008104748 650 0 Regionalism|vCongresses.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2010110558 650 0 Commercial policy|vCongresses.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2008101299 650 0 Commercial treaties|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85028962|vCongresses.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99001533 650 7 Trade blocs.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1153812 650 7 International trade.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 977128 650 7 Regionalism.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1093204 650 7 Commercial policy.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 869569 650 7 Commercial treaties.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 869654 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 Conference papers and proceedings.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1423772 655 7 Conference papers and proceedings.|2lcgft|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/genreForms/gf2014026068 700 1 Low, Patrick,|d1949-|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names /n92035791 700 1 Baldwin, Richard E.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n94056205 776 08 |iPrint version:|tMultilateralizing regionalism. |dCambridge ; New York : Cambridge University Press, 2009 |z9780521506014|w(DLC) 2008053208|w(OCoLC)289070724 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=408855|zOnline eBook via EBSCO.
