Bibliography Includes bibliographical references.
Summary At the request of the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Army, and the National Cancer Institute, the National Academies were asked to review the current state of chemical imaging technology, identify promising future developments and their applications, and suggest a research and educational agenda to enable breakthrough improvements. This report identifies the advances in chemical imaging--either new techniques or combinations of existing techniques--that could have the greatest impact on critical problems in science and technology.
Funding This study was supported by the U.S. Army under Grant W911NF-05-1-0089, the U.S. Department of Energy under Grant DE-FG02-04-ER15624, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under Grant N01-OD-2139 TO 151, and the National Science Foundation under Grant CHE-0439071.
