It was the challenge the Verbier Festival succeeded for its 10th edition. Since its foundation in 1993, the Verbier Festival aims at gathering the best musicians of our time and is thus considered to be one of the most important musical events today. For its 10th edition, Verbier aimed high and invited some of the Major pianists of the world. They were eight of them on stage to interpret exclusive arrangements of the Ride of the Valkyries or the flight of the Bumblebee on eight Steinway Concert Grands. The founder of the Festival Martin Engstroem is interviewed backstage and talks about this unique event. The movie also shows rehearsals and gathers ten Steinway Concert Grands sumptuous pianos. |
