Is Friedrich Nietzsche a philosopher of culture(s)? This book deals with Nietzsche?s examination of the concept and concrete instances of culture as well as with his plans to create a culture affirmed by life. The author explores how far Nietzsche?s attempt to judge his own culture from the perspective of other cultures already provides a new path for intercultural reflection. Finally, the book treats the reception of Nietzsche?s cultural-philosophical views in the 20th century and questions how far Nietzsche?s cultural thought is relevant for contemporary cultural philosophy and the?cultural. |
