Academic Growth in Higher Education: Questions and Answers centers around a decade-long research project, which is one component of a long-standing programme focused on ways to promote academic development and scholarship in higher education. The purpose of the book is to highlight debates and issues important in teaching and learning at the tertiary level in universities, colleges and schools - exploring issues that teachers and lecturers will need to address throughout their professional lives. These issues surround acts of student-centred learning, inquiry-based learning, teachers' own practices in the classroom and, every bit as significant, the activities generated by their students in the process of learning. The intention is to identify some of the debates relevant to teaching and learning, to challenge some of the orthodoxies within traditional forms of teaching and learning, and to suggest some solutions though current practice over a wide context of activity. 588 0 Print version record and CIP data provided by publisher; resource not viewed. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Education, Higher|xAims and objectives|zEurope.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2009102075 650 0 Learning and scholarship|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85075529|zEurope.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85045631-781 650 0 Student-centered learning|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2003008925|zEurope.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85045631-781 650 0 Inquiry-based learning|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2003011742|zEurope.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85045631-781 650 0 Academic achievement|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85000296|zEurope.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85045631-781 650 7 Education, Higher|xAims and objectives.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/903015 650 7 Learning and scholarship.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/994857 650 7 Student-centered learning.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1136037 650 7 Inquiry-based learning.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1199976 650 7 Academic achievement.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 794949 650 7 EDUCATION|xHigher.|2bisacsh 651 7 Europe.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1245064 655 4 Electronic books. 700 1 Pedrosa de Jesus, Helena,|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n2018057517|eeditor. 700 1 Watts, Mike,|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n87899863|eeditor. 776 08 |iPrint version:|tAcademic growth in higher education. |dBoston : Brill Sense, [2019]|z9789004389328|w(DLC) 2018046674 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=1951272|zOnline ebook via EBSCO.
