Summary |
From the flooded forests of the Amazon to the dusty plains of the African savanna, the depths of the Red Sea to the snows of Japan's volcanic mountains, the following pages illustrate some of the Earth's diverse natural habitats. At first glance, the pictures on facing pages will seem identical. But close inspection of each pair will reveal twelve vital differences -- the great green tree frog will have caught its insect meal, a tiny hummingbird may have appeared on a branch, or a stray leaf fallen to lie on the lazy waters of a tropical river. |
