Working with Rock Art is the first edited volume to consider each of these areas in a theoretical rather than a technical fashion, and it therefore makes a significant contribution to the discipline. The volume aims to promote the sharing of new experiences between leading researchers in the field. While the geographic focus is truly global, there is a dominant north-south axis with strong representation from researchers in southern Africa and northern Europe, two leading centres for new approaches in rock art research. Working with Rock Art opens up a long overdue dialogue about shared experiences between these two centres, and a number of the chapters are the first published results of new collaborative research--Internet. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Rock paintings.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85114683 650 0 Rock paintings|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85114683|xDocumentation.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /subjects/sh99005687 650 0 Interpretation (Philosophy) in art.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh97000903 650 0 Art, Prehistoric.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects /sh85007853 650 7 Rock paintings.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1099256 650 7 Documentation.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/896108 650 7 Interpretation (Philosophy) in art.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/977463 650 7 Art, Prehistoric.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 816761 655 4 Electronic books. 700 1 Smith, Benjamin,|d1969-|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/nb98037088|eeditor. 700 1 Helskog, Knut Arne,|d1944-|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /names/n89639967|eeditor. 700 1 Morris, David,|d1957-|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/no2009094490|eeditor. 776 08 |iPrint version:|aSmith, Benjamin.|tWorking with Rock Art : Recording, Presenting and Understanding Rock Art Using Indigenous Knowledge.|dChicago : Wits University Press, ©2014|z9781868145454 830 0 RARI monograph ;|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ no2009150355|v4. 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=1900187|zOnline eBook.
