Includes facsimile reproduction of portions of Berg's annotated copy of the miniature score to his Lyrische Suite (Wien : Wiener Philharmonischer, 1927). The pages from movement VI include insertions (in Berg's hand) of underlayed text taken from Stefan George's German translation of Baudelaire's De profundis clamavi. This annotated score was prepared by Berg for Hanna Fuchs-Robettin. A transcription of the "secret" vocal part and English translation of the text, by Douglass M. Green, is also included. |
