Summary |
Harpischord player, musical director, musicologist and teacher, William Christie is the pioneer of the re-discovery of baroque music in France. Thanks to his erudition and his musical passion, a large public became acquainted with the French repertoire from the 16th and 17th century. Born in Buffalo, he founded Les Arts Florissant in 1979, which was a turning point in his carrier. For more than thirty years, he heads this instrumental and vocal ensemble. |
