Sheds light on the relationship between Buddhism and shamanism. This book examines the relationships between Buddhist lamas and practitioners of bon. It presents their interactions in terms of contexts in which lamas and shamans meet. It shows village lamas and shamans to share a conceptual view of reality at the base of their amiable coexistence. |
