While many of these sites have fallen into disrepair or been sold off, one such site has recently been repurposed as "Canada's Cold War Museum" with the explicit purpose of fostering "interest and critical understanding of the Cold War." The text questions how the site, its museumological apparatus, and the community curation of various rooms in the museum, constructs a "Cold War" for use in Canadian memory; questions the validity of considering the Diefenbunker as a memory site, following Pierre Nora's seminal concept; and explores the role of fictions in the interactive exhibits that aim to engage Canadian youth-in particular- in the issues of nuclear war, emergency measures, and the role of civil defence. The museum and its displays are interrogated for their performance of and possibilities for inscription, re-inscription, and resignification of Canadian cultural memory. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 610 20 Diefenbunker, Canada's Cold War Museum.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2007114168 647 7 Cold War|d(1945-1989)|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1754978 650 0 Nationalism|zCanada.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2008108224 650 0 Cold War|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh88005637|xMuseums|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh00006830|zOntario|zOttawa.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n79063073-781 650 0 Historical museums|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85061198|zOntario|zOttawa.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n79063073-781 650 0 Military museums|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85085240|zOntario|zOttawa.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n79063073-781 650 7 Nationalism.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1033832 650 7 Museums.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1030128 650 7 Historical museums.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 958145 650 7 Military museums.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1021330 651 7 Canada.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1204310 651 7 Ontario.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1204832 651 7 Ontario|zOttawa.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1205408 655 4 Electronic books. 700 1 Molloy, Patricia,|d1961-|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n2012033918|eauthor. 700 1 Anstett, Justin,|d1990-|eauthor. 830 0 CMTS dialogues. 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=1433501|zOnline eBook via EBSCO.
