He challenges the common view that Acts 1:12GÇô14 is the preparation for the coming of the Spirit in Acts 2, and that the sole purpose of Acts 1:15GÇô26 is to set the number of the apostles at twelveGÇöin line with JesusGÇÖ prophecy in Luke 22:30. Instead, Estrada reads Acts 1: 12GÇô14 and 1:15GÇô26 as primarily propagandistic in nature. He argues that these pericopes promote the leadership integrity of the apostles by attempting to win the support of the women disciples and JesusGÇÖ family. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 630 00 Bible.|pActs, I-II|xCriticism, interpretation, etc. 630 00 Bible.|pActs, I-II|xSocial scientific criticism. 630 06 Bible.|pNew Testament.|pActes des Apôtres I-II|xCritique, interprétation, etc. 630 06 Bible.|pNew Testament.|pActes des Apôtres I-II|xCritique sociale. 630 06 Bible|xSociologie. 650 0 Apostles. 650 0 Leadership in the Bible. 650 0 Women in the Bible. 650 0 Sociology, Biblical. 650 0 Gifts, Spiritual|xBiblical teaching. 655 4 Electronic books. 776 08 |iPrint version:|aEstrada, Nelson P.|tFrom followers to leaders.|dLondon ; New York : T & T Clark International, ©2004|z0826469736|w(DLC) 2004445922|w(OCoLC)55730508 830 0 Journal for the study of the New Testament.|pSupplement series ;|v255. 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=378031|zOnline eBook.
