Summary Curriculum Studies in China reveals how curriculum studies scholars in China understand their field's intellectual history, its present circumstances, and the relations among these intersecting domains with globalization. This book's project is twofold: it increases knowledge worldwide of curriculum studies in China, and it documents the imbrications of local and global curriculum scholarship. Scholars from two continents collaborate to create a truly global understanding of curriculum in the world's most populous country. Together, they advance the development of a worldwide curriculum studies field that incorporates both national and international curriculum scholarship.
