In the 16th century, a new legal and culutral orthodoxy fostered the development of an early-modern Islam that broke new ground, giving rise of a new concept of the citizen and his role. Contrary to the prevailing scholarly view, this work adopts the position that local custom began to diminish and decline as a source of authority. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 648 7 1517-1882|2fast 650 0 Law|zEgypt|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh88004969|xIslamic influences|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh00006431|xHistory.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99005024 650 0 Islamic law|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85068454|xSocial aspects|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /subjects/sh00002758|zEgypt|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n80061791-781|xHistory.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99005024 650 0 Customary law|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85034953|zEgypt|zCairo|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n79055723-781|xHistory.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99005024 650 0 Islamic courts|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85033579|zEgypt|zCairo|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n79055723-781|xHistory.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99005024 650 7 Law.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/993678 650 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/958235 650 7 Islamic law.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/979949 650 7 Social aspects.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1354981 650 7 Customary law.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/885510 650 7 LAW|xEssays.|2bisacsh 650 7 LAW|xGeneral Practice.|2bisacsh 650 7 LAW|xJurisprudence.|2bisacsh 650 7 LAW|xParalegals & Paralegalism.|2bisacsh 650 7 LAW|xPractical Guides.|2bisacsh 650 7 Islamic courts.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1730307 650 7 LAW|xReference.|2bisacsh 650 7 Law|xIslamic influences.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/993761 650 7 Law.|2homoit|0https://homosaurus.org/v3/homoit0000702 651 0 Egypt|xHistory|y1517-1882.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /subjects/sh85041297 651 7 Egypt.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1208755 651 7 Egypt|zCairo.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1205204 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1411628 710 2 UPSO eCollections (University Press Scholarship Online). |pMaRLi UPSO 2014. 776 08 |iPrint version:|z9789774166174|z9774166175|w(DLC) 2014378830 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=926356|zOnline ebook via EBSCO.
