The contributors to this volume analyze the evolving anti-Jewish policies in the annexed territories and their impact on the Jewish population, as well as the attitudes and actions of non- Jews, Germans, and indigenous populations. They demonstrate that diverse anti-Jewish policies developed in the different territories, which in turn affected practices in other regions and even influenced Berlin's decisions. Having these systematic studies together in one volume enables a comparison - based on the most recent research - between anti-Jewish policies in the areas annexed by the Nazi state. The results of this prizewinning book call into question the common assumption that one central plan for persecution extended across Nazi -occupied Europe, shifting the focus onto differing regional German initiatives and illuminating the cooperation of indigenous institutions. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 647 7 Jewish Holocaust|d(1939-1945)|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/958866 648 7 20th century|2fast 648 7 1933-1945|2fast 648 7 1900-1999|2fast 650 0 Jews|xPersecutions|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85070432|zEurope, Central|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85021901-781|xHistory|y20th century.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh2002006165 650 0 Jews|xPersecutions|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85070432|zEurope, Eastern|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85045765-781|xHistory|y20th century.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh2002006165 650 0 Jews|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85070361 |zEurope, Central|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects /sh85021901-781|xHistory|y20th century.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002006165 650 0 Jews|zEurope, Eastern|xHistory|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2008122354|y20th century.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002012476 650 0 Holocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85061515|zEurope, Central.|0https:/ /id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85021901-781 650 0 Holocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85061515|zEurope, Eastern.|0https:/ /id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85045765-781 650 0 Antisemitism|zEurope|xHistory|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2009115067|y20th century.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002012476 650 7 Jews|xPersecutions.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 983322 650 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/958235 650 7 Jews.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/983135 650 7 Antisemitism.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/810769 650 7 Ethnic relations.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 916005 650 7 Politics and government.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1919741 650 7 HISTORY|zEurope|xWestern.|2bisacsh 650 7 HISTORY|zEurope|xGeneral.|2bisacsh 651 0 Germany|xPolitics and government|y1933-1945.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85054640 651 0 Europe, Central|xEthnic relations.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2008114962 651 0 Europe, Eastern|xEthnic relations.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2008114961 651 7 Central Europe.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1244544 651 7 Eastern Europe.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1245079 651 7 Germany.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1210272 651 7 Europe.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1245064 655 0 Electronic books. 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1411628 700 1 Gruner, Wolf,|d1960-|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names /n90655155|eeditor. 700 1 Osterloh, Jörg,|d1967-|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n96102968|eeditor. 700 1 Heise, Bernard,|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n2017031559|etranslator. 830 0 War and genocide ;|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n99036723|vv. 20. 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=795152|zOnline ebook via EBSCO.
