Mallory's interests were varied and wide ranging, but weather and agriculture dominate his journal, for agriculture was his passion. A member of the Alabama Agricultural Society, he encouraged efforts to improve. His journal describes the vicissitudes of raising and marketing various crops and animals. Concerns with cotton, corn, wheat, other grains, livestock, orchards, unusual farming methods, fertilizers, and experiments all receive comment. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 600 10 Mallory, James,|d1807-1877|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /names/n96015494|vDiaries.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /subjects/sh99001602 600 17 Mallory, James,|d1807-1877.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org /fast/369561 650 0 Farm life|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85047218|zAlabama|zTalladega County.|0https://id.loc.gov /authorities/names/n81023147-781 650 0 Farmers|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85047270|zAlabama|zTalladega County|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n81023147-781|vDiaries.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99001602 650 7 Farm life.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/921052 650 7 Farmers.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/921321 651 0 Talladega County (Ala.)|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n81023147|xSocial life and customs.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2001008851 651 7 Alabama|zTalladega County.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1212281 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 Diaries.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1423794 655 7 Dagboeken (vorm)|0(NL-LeOCL)088142523|2gtt 655 7 Autobiographies.|2lcgft|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ genreForms/gf2014026047 655 7 Autobiographies.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1919894 655 7 Diaries.|2lcgft|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/genreForms /gf2014026085 700 1 McWhiney, Grady.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n50007911 700 1 Moore, Warner O.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n96015478 700 1 Pace, Robert F.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n96015487 776 08 |iPrint version:|aMallory, James, 1807-1877.|tFear God and walk humbly.|dTuscaloosa : University of Alabama Press, 1997|z0817308326|w(DLC) 96006268|w(OCoLC)34285187 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=21070|zOnline eBook.
