It traces the origins of thinking on the subject from the creation of the Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum through the political and social movements of the 19th and 20th centuries in Western Europe. The bulk of the book focuses particularly on the intersection of scholarship and economic theory in Fascist Italy, as the collegia were analysed by the Istituto di Studi Romani, incorporated into the Mostra Augustea della Romanita, and ultimately championed by the Minister of National Education, Giuseppe Bottai, in 1939. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Fraternal organizations|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85051986|xHistory.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99005024 650 7 Fraternal organizations.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1430375 650 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/958235 655 0 Electronic books. 655 4 Electronic books. 655 4 Computer network resources. 655 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1411628 776 08 |iPrint version:|aPerry, Jonathan Scott.|tRoman collegia. |dLeiden ; Boston : Brill, 2006|w(DLC) 2006043928 830 0 Mnemosyne, bibliotheca classica Batava.|pSupplementum ; |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n83743017|v277. 830 0 Mnemosyne, bibliotheca classica Batava.|pSupplementum. |pHistory and archaeology of classical antiquity.|0https:/ /id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2001090402 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=232565|zOnline eBook.
