Building on literature from medical anthropology, cultural studies, disability studies, social sciences, and law, she explores the international discourse on children's bioethics from a child-centered approach. In light of the existing multiculturalism, she contends that in the discourse on children's bioethics, not only must the medical, social and, anthropological nexus of the child be taken into account, but that incorporating identity claims into the legal discourse is also essential for the child's voice to be heard. --From publisher's description. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Children|xLegal status, laws, etc.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85023456 650 0 Indigenous children|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2003010197|xLegal status, laws, etc.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99004999 650 0 Children|xHealth and hygiene.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85023425 650 0 Medical ethics.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85082929 650 7 Children|xLegal status, laws, etc.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/855046 650 7 Indigenous children.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 970206 650 7 Children|xHealth and hygiene.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/854953 650 7 Medical ethics.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1014081 650 7 Children.|2homoit|0https://homosaurus.org/v3/homoit0000255 653 Traditional child rearing 655 0 Electronic books. 655 4 Electronic books. 776 08 |iPrint version:|aSabatello, Maya.|tChildren's bioethics. |dLeiden ; Boston : Martinus Nijhoff Publishers, 2009 |z9789004173415|w(DLC) 2009000970|w(OCoLC)298325883 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=308295|zOnline eBook.
