Subsequently, "neutral" Switzerland worked closely with Western Cold War powers to develop international counterterrorism measures and forged a European-Israeli counterterrorist alignment to counter Palestinian terrorism in Europe.0Using recently declassified archival records, this book is the first study to examine how the Swiss government positioned the country within the international struggle against terrorism. The book brings to light the creation of the Club de Berne, a secret European network of intelligence agencies connected to Israel and the United States. It offers new insights about the history of Swiss, Western European, and Israeli security cooperation. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 648 7 20th century|2fast 648 7 1900-1999|2fast 650 0 Security, International|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85119471|zSwitzerland|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n79062978-781|xHistory|y20th century. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002006165 650 0 Intelligence service|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85067175|zSwitzerland|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n79062978-781|xHistory|y20th century. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002006165 650 0 Terrorism|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85134112|zSwitzerland|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n79062978-781|xPrevention|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99002416|xHistory|y20th century. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002006165 650 0 Terrorism|xPrevention|xInternational cooperation.|0https:/ /id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2008112800 650 7 Security, International.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1110895 650 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/958235 650 7 International relations.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/977053 650 7 Intelligence service.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 975848 650 7 Terrorism.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1148101 650 7 Terrorism|xPrevention|xInternational cooperation.|2fast |0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1148129 651 0 Switzerland|xForeign relations.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85131312 651 7 Switzerland.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1205401 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1411628 776 08 |iPrint version:|aGuttmann, Aviva.|tOrigins of international counterterrorism.|dLeiden, The Netherlands ; Boston : Brill, [2017]|z9004276645|z9789004276642|w(DLC) 2017041355|w(OCoLC)1001884866 830 0 New perspectives on the Cold War.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/no2019083085|x2452-2260 ;|vvolume 2. 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=1924071|zOnline ebook via EBSCO.
