At the heart of these topics lies the issue of whether they adopted a completely naturalistic picture of the workings of the world order, or left room for the volitional activity of God in history. These topics include divine law, creation, the Account of the Chariot, prophet and sage, Mosaic prophecy, reasons for the commandments, and prayer. Special attention is paid to three lesser known but highly significant Provençal Jewish thinkers: Moses Ibn Tibbon, Levi ben Avraham, and Nissim ben Moses of Marseille. 542 1 |fThis work is licensed under a Creative Commons license |uhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/legalcode 546 English. 588 0 Print version record. 588 0 Online resource; title from PDF title page (ebrary, viewed May 2, 2016). 590 JSTOR|bBooks at JSTOR Open Access 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 600 10 Maimonides, Moses,|d1135-1204.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n78096039 600 17 Maimonides, Moses,|d1135-1204.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/29218 648 7 To 1500|2fast 650 0 Jewish philosophy|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects /sh85100947|zFrance|zProvence.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n80034260-781 650 0 Jewish philosophy|yTo 1500.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2010014769 650 7 Jewish philosophy.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1730516 651 7 France|zProvence.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1208095 655 0 Electronic books. 655 4 Electronic books. 776 08 |iPrint version:|z9781618111791|z1618111795 |w(OCoLC)927412221 830 0 Emunot.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2009064795 856 40 |uhttps://www.jstor.org/stable/10.2307/j.ctt21h4xpc |zOnline ebook.
