Both an American slave and a slaveowner and possibly an African princess. Anna was captured as a teenager in Senegal in 1806 and sold into slavery. Zephaniah Kingsley, Jr., a planter and slave trader from Spanish East Florida, bought her in Havana and took her to his St. Johns River plantation, where she soon became his household manager, his wife, and eventually the mother of four of his children. 600 10 Kingsley, Anna,|d1793-1870.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/no00039124 600 14 Kingsley, Anna Madgigine Jai. 600 17 Kingsley, Anna,|d1793-1870.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org /fast/448578 600 30 Kingsley family.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85072454 600 34 Kingsley (Family) 600 37 Kingsley family.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 219322 650 0 Enslaved women|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85147710|zFlorida|zFort George Island|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n2002039839-781|vBiography. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99001237 650 0 Enslaved persons|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85123347|zFlorida|zFort George Island|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n2002039839-781|vBiography. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99001237 650 0 Princesses|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85106725|zSenegal|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n79007506-781|vBiography.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh99001237 650 0 Women plantation owners|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85147678|zFlorida|zFort George Island|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n2002039839-781|vBiography. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99001237 650 0 African American women|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85001923|zFlorida|zFort George Island|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n2002039839-781|vBiography. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99001237 650 0 Plantation life|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85102824|zFlorida|zFort George Island.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n2002039839-781 650 7 Enslaved women.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1178532 650 7 Enslaved persons.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1120522 650 7 Princesses.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1076505 650 7 Women plantation owners.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1178319 650 7 African American women.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/799438 650 7 Plantation life.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1065779 651 0 Fort George Island (Fla.)|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n2002039839|vBiography.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99001237 651 0 Senegal|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n79007506 |vBiography.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh99001237 651 7 Florida|zFort George Island.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1298579 651 7 Senegal.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1204328 655 7 Biographies.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1919896 655 7 Biographies.|2lcgft|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ genreForms/gf2014026049 901 MARCIVE 20231220 935 404276 994 C0|bRID
