Summary The lexicon of Neo-Mandaic is the least known aspect of this language. Amongst the present lexicological and etymological studies are the contribution of the language's lexis to our knowledge of literary Mandaic as well as aspects of this lexis within the framework of Neo-Aramaic as a whole.
