Such a study is the more opportune because most of the existing works on plantation labour in Africa seem to have either under-studied or even ignored the changing conceptions of gender on the continent in recent times. One of the book's major concerns is to demonstrate that the introduction of plantation labour during colonial rule in Africa has had significant consequences for gender roles and relations within and beyond the capitalist labour process. The book focuses on two tea estates in Anglophone Cameroon. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Plantation workers|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh86005960|zCameroon|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n81035273-781|xSocial conditions.|0https ://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2001008850 650 0 Industrial relations|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85065928|zCameroon.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n81035273-781 650 0 Agricultural industries|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85002331|zCameroon.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n81035273-781 650 0 Women employees|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh94005535|zCameroon.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n81035273-781 650 0 Male employees|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh94004941|zCameroon.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n81035273-781 650 7 Plantation workers.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1065796 650 7 Social conditions.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1919811 650 7 Industrial relations.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 971609 650 7 Agricultural industries.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/800842 650 7 Women employees.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1177615 650 7 Male employees.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1006631 651 7 Cameroon.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1212703 655 4 Electronic books. 776 08 |iPrint version:|aKonings, Piet.|tGender and plantation labour in Africa.|dBamenda, Cameroon : Langaa Research and Publishing CIG ; Leiden : African Studies Centre, ©2012 |z995672730X|z9789956727308|w(OCoLC)809762060 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=482911|zOnline eBook.
