"Liberal" and "conservative" have become stigmas in many parts of the world, in line with fascist, reactionary, rightist, bourgeois etc. The attempts to find historic predecessors did not favor an objective approach. There are no serious unbiased syntheses; the political poles of the constitutional revolution and the ensuing period have been described in terms of different conspiracy theories. Dénes establishes distance from the enemy images and their political idioms current in today's eastern Europe. Provides in depth exploration and analysis required for the portrayal of specific features of conservatism, its strategic vision, conceptual system, argumentation, assessment criteria and values. Price's memoir weaves complicated strands-his Viennese origins, campaigns to distribute Jewish refugees away from New York City, the special qualities of Midwestern Ohio life in the 1950s-and the contrasting patterns of adjustment by different generations in his family in the American landscape. As he traces the particular path of his own life, Price reveals a more universal story of adjustment, and the relationship between a marginal community and the drama of American citizenship. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 648 7 1699-1848|2fast 648 7 1849-1867|2fast 648 7 19th century|2fast 648 7 1699-1899|2fast 650 0 Conservatism|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85031272|zHungary|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n79053090-781|xHistory|y19th century.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2002006167 650 0 Liberalism|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85076443|zHungary|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n79053090-781|xHistory|y19th century.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2002006167 650 0 Nationalism|zHungary|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2008108285|xHistory|y19th century.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002006167 650 0 Political culture|zHungary|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /subjects/sh2010107048|xHistory|y19th century.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002006167 650 0 Social classes|zHungary|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2010113508|xHistory|y19th century.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002006167 650 0 Minorities|zHungary|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2008107839|xHistory|y19th century.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002006167 650 7 Politics and government.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1919741 650 7 Conservatism.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/875582 650 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/958235 650 7 Liberalism.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/997183 650 7 Nationalism.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1033832 650 7 Political culture.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1069263 650 7 Social classes.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1122346 650 7 Social conditions.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1919811 650 7 Ethnic relations.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 916005 650 7 Minorities.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1023088 650 7 POLITICAL SCIENCE|xPolitical Ideologies|xConservatism & Liberalism.|2bisacsh 651 0 Hungary|xPolitics and government|y1699-1848.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85063074 651 0 Hungary|xPolitics and government|y1849-1867.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85063076 651 0 Hungary|xSocial conditions|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /subjects/sh85063082|y19th century.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2002012475 651 0 Hungary|xEthnic relations|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2008105726|xHistory|y19th century.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002006167 651 7 Hungary.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1205132 655 0 Electronic books. 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1411628 776 08 |iPrint version:|aDénes, Iván Zoltán.|sLiberális kihívásra adott konzervatív válasz.
