The first section analyzes the agreement through the prism of international relations theories, using a constructivist-critical theory approach. This is followed by an overview of the intense debates in Iran, the West, and other parts of the world, on the nuclear agreement and its various pros and cons, not to mention the connected, yet separate Iran-IAEA agreement. The second section covers Iran's foreign policy and its various priorities, looking in particular at the impact of the nuclear deal on the country's external relations and orientations, contextualized in terms of pre-existing issues and concerns and the profound influence of the nuclear agreement on the perceptions of Iranian power in the region and beyond. The third section then examines the issue of a Middle East nuclear weapons-free zone and the likely consequences of the Iran nuclear deal on this prospect, which, in turn, raises the issue of regional proliferation and counterproliferation. The last section explores some possible various scenarios and the challenges of implementation as a relatively long-term agreement, providing specific policy recommendations for the regional actors and the external powers that are stakeholders in the volatile Middle East. 540 Restricted: Printing from this resource is governed by The Legal Deposit Libraries (Non-Print Works) Regulations (UK) and UK copyright law currently in force.|5WlAbNL 588 0 Online resource; title from digital title page (viewed on January 23, 2018). 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 648 7 21st century|2fast 648 7 2000-2099|2fast 650 0 Nuclear nonproliferation|zIran|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2010103970|xInternational cooperation.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh00006352 650 0 Nuclear arms control|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85092943|zIran.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /names/n79039880-781 650 0 Nuclear weapons|zIran.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh2008108247 650 0 International relations.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85067435 650 0 Nuclear weapons|zMiddle East.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2010103998 650 7 Nuclear nonproliferation.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1040376 650 7 International cooperation.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/976857 650 7 Nuclear arms control.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1039881 650 7 Nuclear weapons.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1040971 650 7 International relations.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/977053 650 7 international relations.|2aat 650 7 POLITICAL SCIENCE|xGovernment|xInternational.|2bisacsh 650 7 Politics and government.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1919741 650 7 POLITICAL SCIENCE|xInternational Relations|xGeneral. |2bisacsh 650 7 Diplomatic relations.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1907412 650 7 Nuclear nonproliferation|xInternational cooperation.|2fast |0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1040380 651 0 Iran|xForeign relations.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85067893 651 0 Middle East|xPolitics and government|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85090511|y21st century.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002012478 651 7 Iran.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1204889 651 7 Middle East.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1241586 700 1 Afrasiabi, Kaveh L.,|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names /n94058054|eauthor. 776 08 |iPrint version:|aEntessar, Nader.|tIran nuclear accord and the remaking of the Middle East.|dLanham, Maryland : Rowman & Littlefield, 2017|z9781442271272|w(DLC) 2017040552 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=1638188|zOnline ebook via EBSCO.
