Conclusion. 520 This book represents comprehensive research into the world's Jewish press during the Second World War and explores its stance in the face of annihilation of the Jewish people by the Nazi regime in Europe. The research is based on the major Jewish newspapers that were published in four countries - Palestine, Britain, the United States and the Soviet Union - and in three languages - Hebrew, Yiddish and English. The Jewish press frequently described the situation of the Jewish people in occupied countries. It urged the Jewish leaders and institutions to act in rescue of their brethren. It protested vigorously against the refusal of the democratic leadership to recognize that the Jewish plight was unique because of the Nazi intention to annihilate Jews as a people. Yosef Gorny argues that the Jewish press was the persistent open national voice fighting on behalf of the Jewish people suffering and perishing under Nazi occupation. 588 0 Print version record. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 600 10 Gruenbaum, Yiẓḥak,|d1879-1970.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n92003043 600 17 Gruenbaum, Yiẓḥak,|d1879-1970.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/297501 647 7 Jewish Holocaust|d(1939-1945)|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/958866 648 7 20th century|2fast 648 7 1900-1999|2fast 650 0 Jewish press|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh96008990|zPalestine|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ subjects/sh85097163-781|xHistory.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99005024 650 0 Holocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)|xPress coverage|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh96008710|zPalestine. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85097163-781 650 0 Jewish press|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh96008990|zEngland|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n82068148-781|xHistory|y20th century.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2002006165 650 0 Holocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)|xPress coverage|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh96008710|zEngland. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n82068148-781 650 0 Jewish press|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh96008990|zUnited States|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n78095330-781|xHistory|y20th century.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002006165 650 0 Holocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)|xPress coverage|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh96008710|zUnited States. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n78095330-781 650 0 Jewish press|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh96008990|zSoviet Union|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/ names/n80126312-781|xHistory|y20th century.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2002006165 650 0 Holocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)|xPress coverage|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh96008710|zSoviet Union. |0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n80126312-781 650 7 Jewish press.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/982899 650 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/958235 650 7 Press coverage.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1198921 651 7 England.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1219920 651 7 United States.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1204155 651 7 Soviet Union.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1210281 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1411628 776 08 |iPrint version:|aGorni, Yosef.|tJewish press and the Holocaust, 1939-1945.|dNew York : Cambridge University Press, 2012|z9781107011311|w(DLC) 2011025634 |w(OCoLC)729345989 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=409051|zOnline eBook via EBSCO.
