In it Proclus contemplates nature's mysterious origins and at the same time employs the deductive rigour required to address perennial philosophical questions. Nature, for him, is both divine and mathematically transparent. He renders theories of Time, Eternity, Providence, Evil, Soul and Intellect and constructs an elaborate ontology that includes mathematics and astronomy. He gives ample play to pagan theology too, frequently lapsing into the arcane language of the ""Chaldaean Oracles"" 588 0 Online resource; title from PDF title page (ebrary, viewed October 1, 2013). 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 600 00 Plato.|tTimaeus|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n83135110|vEarly works to 1800.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh99001366 600 00 Proclus,|dapproximately 410-485.|tOn the Timaeus. |lEnglish.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ nr98036522 630 07 On the Timaeus (Proclus)|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1788886 630 07 Timaeus (Plato)|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1356746 650 0 Philosophy of nature|xHistory.|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh2008109250 650 7 Philosophy of nature.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/ 1060845 650 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/958235 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 Early works.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1411636 655 7 History.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/fast/1411628 776 08 |iPrint version:|aKutash, Emilie.|tTen Gifts of the Demiurge : Proclus on Plato's Timaeus.|dLondon : Bloomsbury Publishing, ©2013|z9780715638545 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=640186|zOnline eBook.
