Summary Following the Chinese annexation of Tibet some 50 years ago huge numbers of Tibetans became stateless refugees. In the 1990s, the U.S. Congress allowed 1,000 Tibetans and their families to immigrate to America. This book examines Tibetan identity at a critical juncture in the diaspora's expansion.
