The first part of the book consists of contributions that are focused on the numerous problems concerning the exploitation of curative springs and the settlement patterns at spa sites in terms of topography, infrastructure, architecture, cult, society and economy, emphasizing the particularities accompanying the use of beneficial sources and comparing them to that of common sweet waters. The papers in the second part of the volume are concentrated on religious aspects connected to health, fertility and healing, focusing especially on sites located at particular natural surroundings such as caves and water sources. Together, the contributions in this book give us an idea of the amount and quality of research currently being undertaken in different parts of the Roman world (and complemented by one paper on the Greek world) on the topic of health and healing associated with cults and salutiferous waters. 590 eBooks on EBSCOhost|bEBSCO eBook Subscription Academic Collection - North America 650 0 Medicine, Greek and Roman|vCongresses.|0https://id.loc.gov /authorities/subjects/sh2010101361 650 0 Mineral waters|xTherapeutic use|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/subjects/sh85085580|zRome|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/n79039816-781|vCongresses.|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh99001533 650 0 Healing|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh85059506|zRome|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n79039816-781|vCongresses.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /subjects/sh99001533 650 0 Sacred space|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/ sh88002572|zRome|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ n79039816-781|vCongresses.|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities /subjects/sh99001533 650 7 Medicine, Greek and Roman.|2fast|0https://id.worldcat.org/ fast/1015251 655 4 Electronic books. 655 7 Conference papers and proceedings.|2fast|0https:// id.worldcat.org/fast/1423772 655 7 Conference papers and proceedings.|2lcgft|0https:// id.loc.gov/authorities/genreForms/gf2014026068 700 1 Bassani, Maddalena,|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ no2008170383|eeditor. 700 1 Bolder-Boos, Marion,|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names /no2012044843|eeditor. 700 1 Fusco, Ugo,|d1970-|0https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/ nb2012005718|eeditor. 776 08 |iPrint version:|z9781789690378|z1789690374 |w(OCoLC)1103891746 830 0 Archaeopress Roman archaeology ;|0https://id.loc.gov/ authorities/names/no2015023665|vv. 52. 856 40 |uhttps://rider.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https:// search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site& db=nlebk&AN=2273991|zOnline ebook via EBSCO.
